You may not realize just how much a small group of people can accomplish when they work together as a unified group.
A prime example of this can be found in the Fairmont District Lions Club.
Currently one project the group is involved with is helping recycle old eyeglasses for people who need them. The Recycle for Sight project is just a single example of what the group does within their community.
The group also recently purchased 10 sets of junior golf clubs in varying sizes to be used at Junior Golf School in Fairmont.
Since October 21, 2008, the Lions have been involved with donating over $31,000 throughout the Columbia Valley.
The group has been raising money and sending it right back to aid people and communities around the Columbia Valley.
From a $10,000 donation to the Society to Enhance Fairmont to donations to help with the training of guide dogs, the Lions have worked to help as many people in as many ways as possible.
