One dead after motorcycle crash in Castlegar

Paul Allen Tanner, 48, of Grand Forks was killed after a motorcycle accident Sept. 24.
Const. John Rennie of West Kootenay Traffic Services said the driver was travelling from Nelson on Hwy. 3A and while negotiating the on ramp to the Robson Access Road collided with the no post barriers lining the highway.
The driver then plummeted to the road below. His motorcycle, however, travelled to the end of the ramp where it crashed against the barriers on the other side of the road.
Traffic was impeded for several hours while police and the BC Coroner's office investigated.
The accident happened about 2:40 p.m.
