Thursday, Oct. 9: The Castlegar and District Youth Centre and Castle Theatre hold open mike night at the theatre from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 17 - 19: Castlegar Quilters Guild Quilt Show ‘Castlegar - River Runs Through it’ will take place at the Castlegar and District Recreation Complex. Sunday, Oct. 19: The Kootenay Galler presents TD Canada trust Sunday coffee concert series begins with Kris LeDrew, director of the moving mosaic Samba Band in a look at the wonderful world of percussion styles and instruments from Africa and the Caribbean. November 1 to December 6: The Karla Pearce Studio will be hosting its first Student Art Show titled, ‘Getting There’. All past and present students of Karla Pearce are invited to participate. The show will be open to the public and there is no fee. ‘Getting There’ will be celebrated with an opening reception where all students and the public are invited to attend a reception.
