Editor,
To: The Citizens of Nakusp
I am one of the students involved in the vandalism of the yard lamps. I am sorry about the event and regret taking any part in it. I can assure you that I will never take part in any such incident in the future and am truly sorry for what we did. As the article said we were there for the soccer tournament. We are students from Keremeos which is a lot like your village, it’s a small peaceful town in which most residents not only know all of their neighbours but most of the town’s people by name as well. It was after the dance, we had no real reason for doing what we did, aside form the obvious that we were not thinking and made a very big mistake. No one deserves to have their property stolen and smashed. It was truly a random act of vandalism but I assure you that we sincerely regret this.
Editor,
I am writing this letter to the citizens of Nakusp to apologize for my stupid actions while in your town. I also want to personally apologize to the owner of the lights that were broken, it was a stupid idea and I don’t know why we did it. This was my first time doing something stupid on a school trip and I will never do something like this again. I will pay for the damages of the lights which will make me feel better to help out the owner. I also feel like I owe the town of Nakusp for my actions. I hope Nakusp accepts my apology because I am sorry from the bottom of my heart.
