How about them antlers?
Gail (middle) and Randy Zarr (right) of Fauquier bagged this large moose, estimated to be 1,500 pounds on the hoof by president of the Nakusp Rod & Gun Club Hoss Cann. Randy says his father (left) shot the moose one morning two weeks ago and put a bullet hole through its antlers, running it off . It was seen again later in the evening after the party climbed up a ridge and spotted the moose two kilometres away in a diff erent block of woods. The hunt took place near Whatshan Lake. After being butchered, Cann estimates the animal produced over 700 pounds of meat. The moose stood 53 inches wide at the antlers.
