Nakusp is taking part in an RDCK rebate initiative to replace old wood stoves with new ones.
Council decided at their last meeting to allow for 10 units to be rebated on a first-come first-serve basis. The rebate is worth $140, meaning the village is offering up a total of $1,400 for the initiative — which will have them making a budget amendment in order to participate. Contact the village of Nakusp for more information on this program.
There are a total of 40 rebates available within regional district Area’s D to K. The contact for the rebate for those in Area K is director Paul Peterson.
