Thief stole cash meant for breast cancer charity: police

West Vancouver police are asking for help identifying a suspect after a $60-donation for a breast cancer advocacy group went missing from a local business.

Police photos show unidentified man in a series of security photos. A merchant from a store on the 1700-block of Marine Drive called police when a donation envelope went missing Dec. 11.

The funds inside contained proceeds from a chocolate sale, meant for the Canadian Breast Cancer Network, an advocacy group that helps breast cancer patients and survivors.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the man pictured here at or on the department's website to contact 604-925-7300 and cite file 09-16666.
