Police are hunting for a missing Kelowna man after his rented vehicle was founded abandoned in West Vancouver.
On Sept. 22, a missing persons report was filed on Alan Arcand when the vehicle was discovered on the 900 block of Marine Drive, near Capilano Mall. The 48-year-old is last known to have spoken by telephone with a personal associate on Sept. 14.
"(Arcand) has not been heard from by any family or associates since," West Van Const. Jeff Palmer said.
There is no evidence to indicate foul play, he said, but police are investigating all possibilities, such as an accident.
"In dealing with the abandoned vehicle he rented, it was that point that we put two and two together, " he said in regards to Arcand's disappearance.
Police are asking the public for help in finding Arcand. Anyone who may have seen Arcand or has any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Jag Johal at 604-925-7300.
