North Vancouver RCMP have arrested a 24-year-old Burnaby man in connection to an ecstasy lab discovered in a garage on Mountain Highway.

It started when a landlord grew concerned about suspicious activity taking place within a rented garage.

When police executed a search warrant on the garage in the 2100-block of Mountain Highway, they discovered approximately 600 grams of ecstasy and powder precursors, and equipment to produce additional tablets.

Then on Sept. 11, police nabbed Manh Van Dam.

Dam has since been charged with two counts of producing ecstasy, two counts of possessing ecstasy and one count of possession of a weapon.

The bust comes just as the RCMP Drug and Organized Crime Awareness Service is launching a new ecstasy awareness program called Project E-Aware.
