The CityScape Community Art Space wants to know how North Shore residences are inspired by nature. The collective is starting a unique collaborative project called Groundswell, in which three artist will interpret journals collected from the community. The journals — in which everybody can draw, add photographs, words, or a quote or poem – will be placed at gathering places around the community until Fall 2009. These journals and the art works will show at CityScape Community Art Space, 335 Lonsdale Ave., North Van. in 2010. The journal locations include Lion’s Bay Café (350 Centre Rd., Lions Bay), Bean Around the World (Parkgate) (1151 Mt Seymour Rd., North Van), Whole Foods (925 Main St., West Van), The Bakehouse, Edgemont Village (1050 Queens Rd. W, North Van), End of the Line Store (4193 Lynn Valley Rd., North Van), Ecology Centre (3663 Park Rd., North Van), Cityscape Community Arts Space (335 Lonsdale Ave., North Van), Lookout Café (6409 Bay St., West Van).
