The North Shore Women’s Centre Single Mom’s Support Group meets every Saturday morning. Guided by a facilitator, participants have an opportunity to network and discuss issues pertinent to their lives. Child care provided. Registration in progress for the group starting on Sept. 13. Sunny Sundays

 Spend a sumptuous Sunday afternoon listening to music at the Christie House Arts and Heritage Centre (267 W. Queens Rd).  The outdoor summer concert series celebrates summer with four musical groups from a variety of cultures. Summer craft fair

The July 2008 North Van Community Arts Council summer craft fair series runs in the Lynn Valley Library Square (1277 Lynn Valley Road). Artisans will be exhibiting and selling creative and original crafts such as beautiful, hand-crafted jewelry, whimsical ceramics, and many more unique items.  Each of these events will also feature a musical performance. From from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Info: 604-988-6844.

BC Museum of Mining

TLC Cruises

The Land Conservancy offers sightseeing nature cruises up Indian Arm. Guests will also encounter a wide variety of marine species. A biologist and interpreter provide commentary. Cruise dates: July 27 and August 17. The August 17 cruise will be dedicated to long-time Deep Cove resident, Terry Tobin who passed away on March 24, 2008. Tickets: $67-75.
