Tour the shipyards on Remembrance Day

Nov. 11 take a walking tour of North Vancouver’s historic waterfront with Shipyard Sal, Canada’s answer to Rosie the Riveter.

The North Vancouver Museum and Archives partners with Waterfront Productions to remember the lives of those on the home front during World War II with stories about what it was like for the men and women who worked at the shipyards in North Vancouver.

The tour leaves at 1 p.m. from the PGE Railway Station at the foot of Lonsdale. Tour length is about 45 minutes. No pre-registration required. For more info, call 604-990-3700 ext. 8016.
