For a change, the Kardiac Kids got it done early.
The New Westminster Hyacks, who’d won all their previous games this season with late-game rallies, scored on their first three possessions against the Kelowna Owls en route to a 46-35 win, in B.C. High School Football action Friday at Mercer Stadium.
Daniel English scored touchdowns on his only two receptions of the game, and he even added another as quarterback, scampering 53 yards on his first play at the position.
“Offensively we are a very confident team right now,” said Hyacks coach Farhan Lalji, whose team will put its undefeated record on the line in Bellingham, Washington on Friday against the Meridian Trojans, “one of the best small school programs in Washington State.”
