There wasn’t any miracle finish for the Burnaby Braves at the Canadian bantam boys baseball championship in Vaughn, Ont.

The Braves, who scored eight runs in the last inning to win the B.C. championship earlier this month, finished the tournament with a 4-3 record.

Burnaby bombed Nova Scotia 15-2 in their final game Sunday after losing out on an opportunity to play for third place when the Braves were beaten 9-6 by New Brunswick.

Josh Wray was B.C.’s top hitter in the tournament with nine in 18 at bats, including a home run.
