Jackson Decker scored the Burnaby Lakers’ final four goals including two in overtime to keep their hopes of reaching the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League final alive.

Decker’s late-game exploits, to go along with a second-period marker, gave the Lakers a 10-9 OT victory over the Coquitlam Adanacs at Bill Copeland Arena on Sunday to tie the best-of-five semifinal 2-2. The deciding game was played Wednesday in Coquitlam.

The A’s won the first two games of the series after losing just once during the regular season.

Shaun Dhaliwal had two goals and two assists for Burnaby while Riley Loewen had a goal and three assists. Mitch Dibblee and Nick Bilic also scored for the Lakers, who trailed 6-4 after two periods.

Wednesday’s winner will take on the New Westminster Salmonbellies in the BCJALL final. The ’Bellies downed the Victoria Shamrock 16-7 at Queen’s Park Arena on Sunday to take their semifinal in four games.

After losing 10-9 to the Shamrocks in Victoria the night before, and trailing 2-0 less than five minutes into Sunday’s game, the Salmonbellies took charge by scoring 10 of the game’s next 11 goals.

Kevin Crowley and Tyler Digby both had a goal and four assists Sunday for New West while Jarrett Toll and Brandon Goodwin netted three goals apiece. Justin Salt and Leif Mydske scored twice with singles going to Brett Mydske, Ben Davies, Curtis Dickson and Matt MacGrotty.

On Saturday, Digby scored the first three goals for the ’Bellies, Dickson had two in the second period and Crowley two in the third. MacGrotty and Jordan Catton got the other New Westminster goals.
