On Monday, I listened to the CKNW all candidates’ debate for the New Westminster-Coquitlam by-election.
I was appalled to hear Diana Dilworth, the Conservative candidate, say that she would vote for the HST when it is brought forward federally.
The public has been speaking out for months against Gordon Campbell’s HST, and this Conservative candidate supports it and wouldn’t take action to stop it from coming into effect. I can’t believe that any candidate in B.C. could support a tax that so negatively impacts every resident in our province.
