I just submitted my entry into the NewsLeader’s New Westminster A-List.
The final “Best Reason to Live in New Westminster” wasn’t online, so here’s my answer:
New Westminster is central, the people are nice, it’s a wide range of people, places and cultures and other things but it all still mixes nicely and works together.
It’s a simple city that keeps little parts of the character that made it grow and thrive at different times over the past 150 years. People work hard to help people understand and keep that same spirit going into the future.
Put simply, it’s just a neat, old-fashioned city. Let’s keep it that way.
My family arrived in 1859 and I would love to see it stay for another 150 years
