There’s high interest among voters in Monday’s New Westminster-Coquitlam by-election, evident from the turnout for the advance polls.

A total of 3,075 ballots were cast in the riding over three days. However, advanced voting numbers are down compared to the 2008 general election when 4,576 advance votes were cast.

Advance voting was held over three days and closed Nov. 2.

• Voters casting ballots on Monday should refer to the voter cards they received in the mail for their correct polling place. You can also go online to www.elections.ca and follow the links to find out where to vote.

Voters are required to bring identification proving their identity and address.
