Three Surrey men were arrested Saturday and face various weapons charges following a home invasion at a New West home where shots were fired.
The three forced their way into a home in the 500-block of 14th Street early Saturday morning waking the residents, who were threatened by the suspects. No one was injured but a shot was fired inside the home.
The three then fled the scene in a vehicle.
Police searched the surrounding area after being called by a neighbour. One officer noticed a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses. Police pursued the vehicle down McBride Boulevard but were unable to stop it.
The suspects then drove across Patullo Bridge and were eventually pulled over near the Scott Road SkyTrain station. NWPS arrested the three and found a loaded firearm.
Faryaz Ali, 37, Kristopher Richard Mino, 31, and Michael Jeffrey Plante, 25, are charged with break and enter, assault, and various weapons charges.
Police say the victims and suspects were previously known to each other.
