Lorne Zapotichny, top cop for the New Westminster Police Service, has stepped aside as the first chair of the transit police board. Zapotichny, chief constable for NWPS, served nearly five years as the board chair for the police force that oversees SkyTrain and other transit in Greater Vancouver.

Peter W. Webster, a civilian, is the new chair of the board. He has served on boards for transit police and Vancouver police.
