The makeup of the New Westminster school board is guaranteed to change after the Nov. 15 municipal election.
Trustees Ken McDonald and Ron Bennett, the two newest members of the school board, will not be running.
Incumbents James Janzen, Brent Atkinson, Lisa Graham, Michael Ewen and Lori Watt have all submitted their nomination papers.
Unfinished business is the reason Atkinson is running again.
A trustee for 27 years, he wants to see the New Westminster secondary school replacement and third middle school built. The longest-serving trustee also wants the school district's business company to finally turn a profit and the district to buy a new administration building.
Eleven other individuals had put their names forward as school board candidates, including six with the Voice New Westminster slate.
Graham, former city councillor Casey Cook, Maylen Crespo, Jim Goring, Kirpaul Kaur and Patrick O'Connor are the Voice candidates.
Independents include Tom Davies, David Phelan, Shelley Waldie, Vivian Garcia, Ben Kapusta and Ismet Yetisen.
Voice also has a full slate running for council that includes incumbents Betty McInstosh and Bob Osterman. The other candidates on the slate are Steve McClurg, Susan Wandell, Gavin Palmer and Neil Powell.
Incumbents Lorrie Williams, Calvin Donnelly, Bill Harper and Jonathan Cote have thrown their hats back in the ring. New independent candidates are Matthew Laird, David Tate, Lorraine Brett, Lynda Fletcher-Gordon, Jaimie McEvoy and Terrance Owen.
The mayor's chair is being fought over by incumbent Wayne Wright and Blair Armitage of Voice New Westminster.
This is the final list. Candidates had until Friday, Oct. 10 to submit their nomination papers.
