CTV holds Queen’s Park block party

Queen’s Park will be the site of CTV’s Tamara’s Super Block Party on July 15.
CTV cameras and sports personality Perry Solkowski will join weather forecaster Tamara Taggart as the CTV British Columbia 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts cut away to feature activities and events from the block party.
“This is a great opportunity to showcase New Westminster and the people who make our city such a great place to live,” said Mayor Wayne Wright.
The block party takes place near the picnic shelter and bandshell in Queen’s Park from 4 to 7 p.m. Mr. Mikes is providing food for the event. The first 1,500 people receive a Mr. Mikes burger and drink.
