Fraser River Discovery Centre gift shop opens

The Discovery Shop located inside the Fraser River Discovery Centre is now open for business.

The celebrate the opening of the gift shop, the public is invited to stop in and visit the Discovery Shop between 6 and 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17 during the kickoff of FraserFest.

And on Saturday, July 18, New Westminster author Pat Godwin of “Pioneer Sounds” and “I Feel Orange Today” will be signing copies of her books from 10 to noon. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., “Little Miss Chief” will be offering gourmet smoked salmon samplings and from noon to 2 p.m., artist Iryna Nikitinska will be completing a graphite drawing of the Birds of Prey exhibit, currently in the Discovery Centre until the end of the year.

All weekend long, the Discovery Shop is offering one free adult admission to the Discovery Centre to all customers who purchase any item valued at $10 or more.

All profits from the Discovery Shop go directly to help the Fraser River Discovery Centre, an interpretive centre connecting communities in discovery and celebration of the living, Fraser River. It is located at 788 Quayside Dr., New Westminster.
