Katerina Boiko of Burnaby received a wild-card entry into the Odlum Brown VanOpen tennis tournament at the Hollyburn Country Club, but the 14-year-old didn’t last long.

American Lena Litvak, a 20-year-old with a World Tennis Association ranking of 351, defeated Boiko 6-2, 6-0 in a first-round match Monday.
