Updated: September 25, 2009 4:34 PM
The City of Burnaby received a funding go-ahead for a $7.4-million watermain project from the federal-provincial infrastructure program Thursday.
The project, funded under Ottawa’s Infrastructure Stimulus Fund, will replace aging watermains in Burnaby. City hall, the province and the federal government will each chip in $2.46 million.
It’s part of $719 million in projects provincewide that received a total of $244 million from Ottawa and $233 million from Victoria.
All projects must be completed by March 31, 2011.
