Burnaby RCMP look for missing teen

Burnaby RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 16-year-old Burnaby boy.

Chance Johnson Alexander Owens was last seen by his mother on Tuesday, Aug. 18 as he left to meet friends at Metrotown mall.

The Moscrop secondary student was reported missing by his mother and is described as Caucasian, about six-feet tall, 190 pounds, brown eyes and short dark brown hair. He recently had his braces removed.

His mother told police he’s been away from home for up to three days without her knowing his whereabouts. “But he’s always just come back,” said RCMP Corp. Holly Marks.

Being away for this long is out of character for him.

Anyone with any information on Owens’ whereabouts is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922.
