Building starts in Burnaby continue to suffer from the economic downturn, if the city’s building permit tabulation report are any indication. During the month of June, city hall issued 121 building permits with a value of $38.8 million. That brings total permits for the year to date to 578 with a total value of $166 million.
For the same period last year, there were 935 permits issued with a value of $376.7 million.
