Trees planted at Taylor park
Updated: October 22, 2009 4:43 PM
Hundreds of Taylor Park elementary students braved the cold and rain last week to plant native trees and a butterfly garden, install two “bee condos” and remove invasive species in Taylor Park. The project was an initiative of the provincial Trees for Tomorrow program to reduce greenhouse gases. In addition to getting students involved in the environment, the project aimed to spark a greater sense of park ownership and community spirit.
