It’s always exciting when the circus comes to town. But imagine if the circus showed up on your street! That’s what happened on Burnfield Crescent in Burnaby on Tuesday, when the Flik-Flak children’s circus, from Denmark, held a special dress rehearsal for neighbourhod children and their families prior to the start of their cross-country tour that launches at Burnaby Village Museum on Canada Day. More than 40 junior jugglers, acrobats, plate spinners, magicians and unicyclists delighted an audience of youngsters, and the young at heart, who ringed the makeshift stage in their lawnchairs or on the grass. The open-air performance was hosted by the Danish Lutheran Church.
