Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers has moved to Burnaby in a big way.
After numerous years in three separate Richmond locations, the world’s largest industrial auctioneer has moved its operations under one roof to a new international head office in the Big Bend area that celebrates its grand opening with a private function today (Thursday).
The 164,000-square-foot building on Glenlyon Parkway includes a subsidized corporate child care centre, a workout facility (open 24/7) and a cafeteria offering healthy choices at relatively low prices. The headquarters houses more than 300 employees and was designed to a LEED Gold standard of sustainability.
Established in 1958 in Kelowna, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers specializes in selling industrial equipment. It has more than 110 locations in over 25 countries, including 39 auction sites worldwide. More info: www.rbauction.com.
