Grow-op busted

The Bowen Island RCMP busted an indoor marijuana grow operation last weekend.
Const. Simon Campbell said members located the grow-op and executed a search warrant and “anticipates there will be charges laid.”
Campbell would not say where the grow-op was located or how police discovered it.
“There are any number of ways, hypothetically, that information on a grow operation can be obtained,” Campbell told The Undercurrent. “People do provide us with information. For example someone walking their dog in the woods might come upon a field with marijuana growing.
“Members also stumble upon them during the daily course of their duties and sometimes helicopters spot outdoor grow operations while passing overhead.”
Campbell said once outdoor grow operations are discovered police will often fly to the location and get dropped in and “hack it out.”
