Kelsey Degroot scored the lone goal on Sunday as Chilliwack FC’s U-14 Red Striker girls upended the Burnaby Bullets 1-0.
Degroot’s game winner came late in the first half off a feed by Kiana Thiessen.
Thiessen successfully challenged a Burnaby player at midfield and sent a pass to Degroot. She flew past the flat-footed Burnaby defence and picked the top corner with her shot.
Leah Cairns, Megan Kelley and Bettina Rillera all had near misses.
Goalkeeper Jodi Brown earned the shutout.
