The Chilliwack Bruins and the Chilliwack Rotary Club are joining forces to organize another Sports Celebrity Dinner this fall.
This year’s banquet will take place on Dec. 2 at the Tzeachten Community Centre, introducing the Bruins players and featuring special guest Ron MacLean, host of Hockey Night in Canada on CBC. He has spent years working alongside Don Cherry on the Coaches Corner segments.
MacLean is one of this country’s most popular hockey personalities and one of the game’s most eloquent ambassadors.
His broadcasting career has included coverage of both Summer and Winter Olympics and resulted in numerous awards.
Tickets for this special evening will go on sale in early October, with proceeds from the event going to Chilliwack Rotary’s community projects and the Bruins Scholarship Fund.
