Accolades for Stingrays

The Cultus Lake-Chilliwack Stingrays Swim Club recently celebrated their award winners with a season-ending banquet.

Most improved swimmer awards went to Savannah Leroux (junior girls) and Issak Tremblay (junior boys).

Older brother Joshua Tremblay won the senior boys most improved award, and Neala Hutchinson won for the senior girls.

The ‘Most Best Times’ awards went to junior swimmer Tyra Rodrigue and senior swimmer Katharine Van der Veen.

Issak Tremblay and Van der Veen were presented sportsmanship plaques. Junior swimmer Kendal French and senior swimmer Kenzie Cassels were given the coach’s awards.

Aggregate awards were presented to Riley Clemons (junior boys), Catherine Janzen (junior girls), Austin Crystal (senior boys) and Van der Veen (senior girls).

Runner up aggregate winner were Tristan Sward (junior boys), Tyra Rodrigue (junior girls), Brett Woodske (senior boys) and Kenzie Cassels (senior girls).

The Stingrays are currently operating their Winter Fit swims Tuesday and Thursday nights 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. at the Cheam Centre under the direction of coach Brittany Banser.

New swimmers are always welcome.
