Priorities in vaccinations questioned

This morning at the gym I was asked by some of the regulars there if I was going to get the H1N1 flu shot for me and my family. I said I am not sure yet. After hearing on the radio that the province is well short, I guess my mind is made up already. I am bothered about this. One of the regulars at my gym is a prison guard here. He informed me that he too was mad because all of the prisoners got their H1N1 Flu shots. He was told he could not and that he would have to go elsewhere. Tonight I was talking to a friend who has a friend in Alberta who is a nurse and she said that there was enough vaccine there to do everyone including vacationers from another country. This puzzles me how prisoners and foreigners are able to get their shots before other Canadians. Once again, it appears that crime does in fact pay.

Can anyone explain this to me?
