On behalf of our family, especially my younger sister, I would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the people who helped us out last Saturday.

My sister’s dog, scared by rifle fire in the fields behind our farm, escaped from the yard and got himself lost. After hours of searching and thanks to tips from people in the Greendale area, we spotted him trotting down Yale Rd, parallel to Highway 1. He darted across the highway, unscathed and without incident to drivers, and ended up at the train tracks on the North side at Lickman Road. He was struck in the head by some part of the passing train and thanks to two ladies who got out of their vehicles to help we were able to keep him calm and get him to the vet. Miraculously, Rocco has survived with nothing more that a couple of scrapes and a headache.

So thank you to all who helped, we don’t know your names, and to the wonderful staff at the Family Pet Hospital on Vedder Rd.
