Bruins need more fan support
Updated: November 02, 2009 9:29 AM
I’ve been watching the Bruins for the last four years and the Chiefs before them. The crowds for the Bruins started off great, the team was averaging 4,000 fans per game up until last year.
Unfortunately this year, there are way fewer fans than previous years and there really is no reason for it.
This team has a new coach and general manager (one of the best junior coaches in North America), some new players and a whole different attitude.
These guys aren’t the Bruins of old. They are working hard every game, every period and every shift.
The sad part is there are fewer fans there to see it. Over the last 10 games the Bruins have taken points from 9 of them, and just beat the No. 5 team in Canada quite convincingly.
I understand with the economy people have less disposable income, but I can assure you that these kids are worth the money.
The Bruins do have a family pack of tickets which includes two adult and two kid tickets, four hot dogs and four pops for $53.99. You can’t get a deal like that anywhere else, including Abbotsford.
In a community of 80,000+ there is no reason for our rink to be half full.
Get out and support your Bruins, Chilliwack! Help make our rink the most exciting rink to play in around the league.
