'No foul play' at Bridal Falls park, police say

Police are now saying suicide, not foul play, is the reason an adult male's body was found Friday in Bridal Falls provincial park east of Chilliwack.
The body, lying in an open area near the parking lot, was discovered at about 8:30 a.m. by a couple walking through the park.
The scene had some of the earmarks of foul play, but when investigators slowly working their way toward the body in order not to disturb evidence finally reached the deceased at about 5 p.m., "it became painfully obvious this was a suicide," said RCMP Cpl. Dale Carr.
Agassiz RCMP will continue an investigation to identify the deceased, and notify next of kin.
Police said earlier that there were "indications" the body had not been in the park for a long time.
