No bomb or other hazards were found inside Sardis Secondary after a search by Chilliwack RCMP Friday.
The school was evacuated at about 12:40 p.m. after a bomb threat was called in to the school.
"The threat was not specific and did not identify any one person as a potential target," Const. Lea-Anne Dunlop said.
A specific time for the bomb to go off was mentioned, but that time passed without any explosion occurring, Dunlop told The Progress, just before 3 p.m.
After a search of the school grounds turned up no suspicious devices, police dogs were called in to search the interior of the school.
No other details of the telephone threat were released by police because it might help identify the caller.
"The Chilliwack RCMP takes these types of threats made very seriously, real or perceived, and are actively investigating this incident as public mischief at this time," Dunlop said.
