If you've been treated greatly by a business, or have an outstanding employer, or an exemplary employee, the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce wants to hear from you.

The Chamber is seeking nominations for its 15th annual Business Excellence Awards.

Any business, or individual, that exemplifies the spirit of free enterprise, and has successfully contributed to the quality of life in the Chilliwack community can be nominated.

Twenty awards will be doled out this year. Categories include new business of the year, established business of the year, business citizen of the year, employer of the year, employee of the year, green excellence, and more.

And for the first time, there's an award for entrepreneur of the year.

"These awards are a terrific opportunity for businesses to get publicity, and for businesses to realize that people do value their services, and to reward them for it," said Chamber member Heather Rollins.

Anyone is welcome to submit a nomination.

"If you've had a great experience at a business, and feel that the people in that business should be recognized for the good they are doing," nominate them, said Rollins.

Nomination forms are available at The Progress and the Chamber office.

For more information, visit the Chamber website at www.chilliwackchamber.com.

Nominations close Oct. 20.

Awards will be announced at the Business Excellence Awards banquet on Jan. 23.
