Chilliwack’s only European car specialists have just made the downtown core their new home.
Ralph Van Woerden, who runs Ralph Van Woerden Automotive Repair with his daughter and wife, recently relocated after 15 years in Rosedale.
“I’ve always wanted to have my business downtown because it’s a great area,” said Van Woerden, who initially brought his business over from Holland. “It’s where everyone lives, and works, and there’s a lot of traffic which is great for business.”
Although they were always busy in Rosedale, they’ve gotten even busier in their new location across from Dairy Queen. Van Woerden attributes it to their reasonable prices and great product.
“We’re very honest with our customers,” he said. “And that draws a lot of people back in. We’ve had the same customers for years. People even travel out from Abbotsford, Hope and Vancouver for us.”
Although the mechanics specialize in “everything from the other side of the ocean,” they also work on domestic cars and trucks.
