The U19 Mission Mud Dawgs got off to a fast start last Sunday at home against the Adanacs. The game was just 18 seconds old when Mission got its first goal. It turned into a hard-fought first quarter by both teams and ended in a 2-2 tie.
The game was back and forth for most of the second quarter, but the Mud Dawgs squeaked out of it with a 5-4 lead.
The second half had a much hungrier Mission team hit the field as the Mud Dawgs jumped ahead 9-5 in the third quarter. The Adanacs had trouble stopping the Mud Dawgs’ offence the rest of the game, which ended 14-7.
The last game of the tiering schedule for the U19 team is next Sunday at Mercer Field in New Westminster against the Warlocks.
