Poor timing to talk about cutbacks

Congratulations to Ms. Vivian Giglio on her promotion in the Fraser Health Authority.
Not to take anything away from her successors, but why does it now take two people to do the job she was doing? We now have an executive director for each of Mission and Abbotsford hospitals, where she took care of both. I'm assuming their two incomes combined must be less than hers was as we are in a time of cutbacks. Ms.Giglio is now executive director of RCH as well as a newly formed position as head of surgical programs for FHA. I'm reading this to be two new positions in the management end of the FHA, which will likely include nice pay packages, while our Mission hospital continues to have to cut back.
I'm not sure where the health authority gets its statistics from, but whenever I've been at the emergency ward with family or friends, there is seldom a free bed. My son who was visiting from out of town one day had to be admitted, and since there is a shortage of staff, the rooms were unavailable and he had to stay in the emergency ward, thereby holding up another bed. My friend was there all day/night yesterday and they said the place was overrun with patients. Timing is not the best for these cuts at present, especially with the pandemic on our doorsteps.
Abbotsford ER has a much longer wait time than we do and we are now expected to travel there or to Maple Ridge? Let's hope our roads are clear of snow this year!
