Re: Marelle Reid’s article Water metering study approved, Sept. 10 edition.
I believe we need a mayor and council who do not look to ways they can put more pressure and stress on the people who elected them to serve. Water meters? I’ve heard they often do not work accurately.
The mayor tells us he suspects that we are wasting water? Almost all of us buy or procure our drinking water from elsewhere. That alone should be a big savings on water supply.
At a time when we are all paddling just to keep our heads above water financially, how can they come up with this stupid idea? If we need more water because of a greater population, how about going after a bigger water supply?
Mayor Atebe and council, we are not wasting your water! We are using what we need. Now leave us alone!
