Mission RCMP have arrested two men in connection with a marijuana grow operation discovered Monday in the 33000 block of Vernon Drive.

Police obtained a search warrant after it was determined that hydro was being stolen to supply the grow-op, and approximately 1,500 marijuana plants were found inside the house.

Charges are pending against one man, 53, from Surrey and a 34-year old man from Vancouver, said Mission RCMP Sgt. Greg Pridday.

In a separate incident on Monday, police raided a grow-op in the 32400 block of Dewdney Trunk Road with another search warrant based on hydro theft.

The fire department was called to force entry into the heavily secured outbuilding where about 1,200 plants were discovered.

No arrests have been made, but police are continuing their investigation.
