The annual Rotary Carol Festival will take place this year on Nov. 27 at the Clarke Theatre, beginning at 7 p.m.

Featured choirs are from Hatzic, Albert McMahon, West Heights and Windebank Elementary schools, as well as Heritage Park Secondary and Hatzic Secondary schools. Joy Vox Community Choir will also be there to usher in the festive season.

There are no admission tickets to the event but donations of food and toys for the Christmas Bureau would be greatly appreciated. Phil Hope from the Christmas Bureau and several Rotary Club members will be on hand to receive these donations in the lobby of the theatre.

The festival will also include a sing along portion closing with a mass piece performed by all choir members; over 350 voices which will certainly delight the audience.

The annual festival has a long history in the community and is one of the first big events to get donations rolling in to the Christmas Bureau.

The event usually nets 20 huge boxes filled with food and $500 in cash for the organization, said Pam Alexis, who has organized the event for the Rotary Club for the past seven years.
