Artisans sought for upcoming Christmas market
Updated: September 17, 2009 2:37 PM
Mission Arts Council is seeking artists and crafters to participate in the 28th annual Christmas Craft Market, held Nov. 14-15 in the foyer of Heritage Park Secondary School.
Crafters and artisans of all kinds are encouraged to apply to sell their wares at this festival event. Pottery, textile art, cosmetic crafts, glassworks, painting, sewing, floral works, woodwork, etc. are all represented at the sale. There is a table/space fee ($100 plus $15 arts council membership fee) to the crafters, however sales are 100 per cent to the vendor; there is no admission fee charged at the door and parking is free – all of which adds up to a very lucrative opportunity for participants.
Shoppers will also find the convenience of a lunch and refreshment café and enjoy festive entertainment to compliment the whole craft market experience.
There is also opportunity for craft market participants to show and sell their work at the Extended Christmas Craft Market held at the Mission Art Gallery from December 8-19.
If you are an artist/crafter looking for a venue for your work, please contact the Mission Arts Council for information and an application form by calling 604-826-0029 or visiting www.missionartscounci.ca.
