Visit Santa at popular park
Updated: November 26, 2009 3:40 PM
Santa Clause is making an early stop in Mission this year.
All the little girls and boys can come to the Norma Kenney House at Fraser River Heritage Park to meet the jolly elf and have their photos taken with him.
Santa will be posing in front of the camera from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6.
The reindeer are in heavy training for their big night, so the Mission Firefighters Association has offered to give Santa a ride to the park, weather permitting, aboard the historic Engine 54.
Photos with Santa and a stuffed toy can be adopted for a $2 donation. Due to Santa’s tight schedule this time of year, opportunities for photos are limited and priority will be given to children and families.
To help keep things interesting while waiting to see Santa, a special group of elves will be on hand to help direct kids and their families through some fun and festive activities.
Be sure to dress for the weather. Although Santa will be inside the Norma Kenney House, space inside is very limited.
Complimentary hot chocolate and the spirit of the holiday season will be served up to help ward off any winter chill.
Santa’s visit is being organized by the Mission Heritage Association with support from Prospera Credit Union and many of Santa’s helpers from the community.
