Ron and Sandy Cockroft were recently presented with a Volunteer Leadership Award by Canadian Cancer Society representative Bev Perrott. The Cockrofts are long-time volunteers in the community. Ron, a cancer survivor, has served as a driver for the Volunteer Driver Program for more than eight years and has also been its dispatcher for the last four. Sandy has served as office manager for more than three years. The local office on First Avenue is a great source of information; it is a friendly and compassionate place for everyone touched by cancer.

Think in Pink shares office space and provdes a wonderful array of garments, prostheses and equipment for numerous medical needs. The CCS office is supported by the community and is staffed solely by volunteers, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
