On our walks along the Coquihalla River on the Rotary Trails we have found on several occasions dog fecal matter tied in plastic bags and left on the trail! It is great to bag your pet’s droppings and carry them to the next garbage bin, but to leave them in a plastic bag in the woods is unbelievable. A blue bag left beside this tree stump is still waiting for one dog owner to disposed of it properly. The garbage bin is only 120 feet away. There must be several dog owners without common sense, since, on other occasions, we have found bags like this on Thacker Mountain, as well.

We love dogs, own one, too. But please, people, keep plastic bags with or without contents out of our beloved woods. They look unsightly and are a danger to wildlife. Thanks for your consideration. We truly love Hope and the breathtaking nature trails so nearby.
